I thought a summer camp or a club with other children with Asperger's type would be a good way to meet people for him. I know you're there. I was not sure where to start looking for me.

I raised two children with disabilities as a single mother (and yes, my son has Asperger's Syndrome - Autism high).

My own suggestions for you: Have you tried Activities Scouts - You Know - Boy Scouts is that after participating in school groups or activities, as well as high school JROTC?

Just because someone has a disability - not to the ongoing programs that benefit disabled peers overlooked in school - because they can and must participate in these programs. My own children are not in JROTC programs, team sports, scouts, etc. - and they are now adults - have fond memories of all the programs involved - the rides, including gun shots, clubs, fencing, mining camps, etc.

I have a high degree of operation of 7 years (if the 8 December), two children with a disability is very rare, but it is presented as Asperger's syndrome. Looking for information on agenesis of the corpus callosum (where children and adults on the tip of a very low operating costs half a term, but usually not as big as my son), I found on MySpace.com, HVAC is a group of young adults , parents, and people (myself included) in the discussion forum. It may be able to this group, or the Yahoo group I'm connecting to. Some are married, college, or in 30, and we can provide you with adolescence and citations. The social indicators for Asperger's children and children of ACC are usually take those who do not regularly quickly removed so that the signals often do not understand, body language, speech, word for word, to understand in concrete and problems with abstract concepts. Music and art seems to be a good outlet for expression. I know that ACC has an annual conference of the group, perhaps there is a national or localAsperger's too. See NICHEY or INS or NiMH. You can include links to national organizations. The local community can have clubs for young people with "special needs" or specific responsibilities for young people, facilitating communication with peers. Have you tried the religious groups? Youth can be difficult. To undergo brain surgery at age 15 I learned a lot (you can see on my site, I wrote a few articles on this). We must never, however, continue to try to do your best and everything is possible. They are a very sensitive person, to raise these issues and try to help. Maybe you can start a local support group? It would be a discovery for you. Please contact me if interested. Maybe I can help somehow. I, too, would soon face. Good luck and good luck. :)

Ask him to communicate with your MD - the office should have a list.

I know that's my state (Pennsylvania), a group called ASCEND peer that a "friend" groups. Maybe you want at your local Autism Society CHAPER (you could online) to see if you can recommend a group of colleagues.

I wonder, what does your cousin that he autistic? I think it is important that he understands himself, so you can stand up for themselves. He has the good fortune, good cousin, who is ready, the time to help with your social life, you have to take!

Good luck!
